Happy Fall to All,
As you can see from above I have been busy creating cards and craft items for my craft fair in November.
I made the card that has the “Looks Who’s Turning 95″ was made for my Uncle who will be celebrating his 95th birthday on October 4th, He loves to play cards. So to make this card, I used black card stock for the base; Layered a piece of orange cardstock 4″ by 5.25” and downloaded an image of the card picture and printed it on white cardstock. I used gold foil paper to cut out the 95 from the “Number of Years” stamp set from Stampin Up which is now retired. I also used the sentiment from the same stamp set and embossed in with gold stampin up embossing powder. All materials are from Stampin UP with the exception of the deck of card print.
The second card: is from the made using the “Love What You Do” stamp set and Designer Series paper. The base of the card stock is 4.25 by 5.5 the DSP was cut at 4″ x 5.25 Then I took a piece of Powered Pink card stock and edged with the the new Detailed edged Thinlits. The sentiment came from the Love What you do Stamp Set and I used the new Label thinlit dies. I also used the leaf punch to add as embellishments and the lastly I used the pearls on the the label.
The 2 packaged items are Lip Gloss holders that I made from a You Tube video by Karen MNall. The dimensions were hers but the designs of the papers and designer series paper are my own. I made 18 of these and plan to sell them at the craft fair in November!
I have created this card for a swap that I am participating in It is a Bridal Shower Card using the Apron of Love Bundle. This bundle is amazing as it is very verstatile. This is how I created the card.
Cardstock: Fresh Fig, Powder Pink, Silver Foil, Whisper White
Stamp Set: Apron of Love with matching framelits; Sentiment from Flourishing Phrases Stamp set.
Your card base is 4.4 by 5.5 of Fresh Fig; the second layer is Powdered Pink cut at 4″ by 5.4″.
then you start to cut out your apron, utensils, and hearts to decorate the card. You can make any combination of colors. I hope you enjoyed it.

The Holiday Catalog is live and you can start to place your orders. There are so many cool items in this catalog. I just ordered the Take Your Pick Tool. See next paragraph.
The Take Your Pick tool (item # 144107 found on page 30). I almost missed it as there were so many wonderful things to look at. After viewing the video, I realized it does way more than I thought. It has a putty end that aids in picking up items like sequins. The other end has a spatula that helps in picking up adhesive-backed items or moving them after placed. That spatula piece can be reversed to a paper piercer. Also included is another piece that can be inserted there that has both a small and a large stylus. This tool can be used to replace two tools so it’s easier to do everything with this one tool. Amazing!! A $10.00 value which is well worth it.
There are so many amazing bundles as well. Please check out my Stampin Up Website. You can download the catalog .
I have not blogged all summer as it was filled with lots of company and beach days. I love the beach as it is my happy place. My second love, is crafting. I am busy making paper crafts to sell at our craft fair in our community this November. I will post pictures of the items as I go along. I did it last year and I had fun and did fairly well. Better than I thought.
Of course I love Stampin Up. Their new holiday catalog will be launch September 1st to all customers. I guess I am addicted to all these new products. If you order during the month of August a total of $50.00 you earn a $5.00 reward you can use in September.
If you haven’t received a catalog, and you wish for one, place an order and I will send you one for free.
I also sell my cards on E-Bay and take personal requests as well.
Please check out this new catalog!! So many new items and lovely packaging. If you would like to place an order or interested in a catalog, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or my website @birdiestamps.stampinup.net.

It has been a few weeks since my last post. I have been super busy planning my Dad’s 85th Birthday! He was so surprised
His closest family members were there to celebrate. I made favors for the party and I found the idea from Pottles from the UK. She has great tutorials. My husband’s birthday is the day after. I will post pictures below. His happened to fall on Memorial Day this year.
May 10 was
my son’s birthday and I always design my card for his special day! 36 years ago on May 10th I had him and it was Mother’s Day when I went in. This was the best gift of all to have my son. He has become a wonderful man, loving wife and loving Dad.
The card I designed uses the Truly Taliored Punch.
Here is how to make the card!
- Cardstock: base Earky Expresso cut at 4 1/4″ by 11″ Scored at 5 1/2″
- Very Vanilla card stock: layer onto base card. Cut at 4″ by 5 1/4″
- Stamp Set: ” You Are A Work of Art”
- DSP: cut with punch 4 different patterns
- Punch a scrap of Very Vanilla for sentiment
- Arrange the punched out pieces of DSP in middle
- Stamp sentiment on punched Very Vanilla
- Using Dimensionals, Pop the Very Vanilla onto the DSP
The week of May 6 through May 11th
is National Nurses’ Week with May 9th
we celebrate National School Nurse Day. As many of you know, I was a school nurse for 30 years! Every school deserves a school nurse.
So in honor of Nurses Week, I designed 4 cards using Stampin Up products.
- Card stock: Real Red, Basic Black, Blushing Bride, Whisper White and Silver also retired (see pages 185-186 in Annual catalog)
- Inks: Real Red, Memento Black (pg. 185 , 200)
- Tailored Punch from Occasion catalog
- Delicate Doilies pg. 194
- Stamp sets used: Work of Art and Party Panda (Salabration item)
- Sentiments on the cards with the exception of “Fabulous work of Art) are non Stampin up as they pertain to nurses.
- Scalloped punch (retired)
- Stampin up markers: Real Red and Pink Pirroutte ( retired)
The sentiments on the Panda’s are not from Stampin UP! I had to order those from a special company!
Base Card stock cut at 4 1/4″ by 11″. Scored at 5 1/2″
